Where we stand in this Global Era???

How to correlated our position as a girl or women and its role

in Global Era?

Globalization and woman role maybe never been apart from discussion among scholar or people like us who came from social science's background. Since feminism formally came in Mary Wollstonecraft era, until in this millennium era this topic seem never ending to discuss.
Women always interesting, including on science field when it seemed dominated by man in their study. Not always frontally by create new paradigm or perspective. History proved that there are so many women who inspired this world even until now, they maybe act directly on political or governmental field, ir the others walk on their own expertise. never bring "feminism" flag directly, but they of course bring new atmosphere on their works. Virginia Woolf on her novels, as Nicole Kidman do in the Hours, Jane Austen in her Pride and Prejudice..they are outstanding writers who tried to communicate their view. they never clearly talk : "Hey, here I am, and I am a Feminist!". No, but, if we wanna to read it more their writing, they implicitly told about women in their era, their problem and how they stay through on it.

So, where we are? What can we do? Global world is identified as no more border, and more homogenized idea--> these factors sometimes make us confused. Are we able to follo Austen or Woolf's path? Sometimes we often don't know how to actualized our self.. and the worst we feel useless. So the question raised, where is our contribution??...I've no expertise yet, I mean, I'm not specialized enough in one field. So, may be I do not have specific answer for it. but the simplest way to understand it, for me start on ourselves. we must have something we enjoyed better than the others--> singing, writing, art, music, organizations, language etc...decide to explore it. Knows better, does better...if we started on a point that we enjoyed, it often easier to explore even deeper...automatically we found our existence and also contribution there. Slow but sure, we can found the ways..and I, decide to explore my writing world. Our world is waiting for us... See you :)

It's (just) me....
But maybe now is different than yesterday. Here is me, with every laugh, cry,etc around my time line in this years. Every priceless event has gone, gone through time.. and left me here...everything has shaped me, or I've already shaped my self. Whatever...

**Yea,,,... accepted it Phie,,... You are what you are thinking of...I think it's the simplest way to start to understand myself on this new age...20 is just a number except we reflect it with (maybe) such like this question : how to fulfill and optimize it..
-- I this yeear, it would be nice if I am:
.> improve my writing skill--> by tried to optimize my spare time, write anything, analyze anything, as long as I can. Even it just a simple event :)
.> improve my interpersonal skill--> by "understanding" people around me :)
.> improve my foreign language skill --> by followed foreign laguage course (of course language whhom I can enjoyed it better, English maybe, or Korean, Russia..hhhmm:)
.> no more, or at least reduce grudging, or create negative thought

Understand your self first Phie...after that, Insya Allah you are able to understand the other

our identity, where is it??

always being interested part of human being. if it correlated by another question --> Identity ..., what is your opinion?

Identity, what is identity? According to Samuel Huntington on his Clash of Civilization , (frankly I'm only read a little part of it, not finished yet ;) it is one of most fundamental question maong people. Whenever the're coming from. Because of identity, people can decided a thing and determine what they wanna do. so, if I correlated it with a choice, it will be have more complex relationship. Further, identity can shape a group, people, entity, nation or any level we used to view. Identity tied with history, norm, view and human being itself...Furthermore. it make we realize our is different than them. This our vs. them's feeling is sometimes created big problem, whom even able to threatened a state's security..but if it can manage well, identity which blend together with culture can build extremely potential power. Like asset in economy, identity can be explored, improved, shaped, anything...as well as we want and able, it always possible.

Identity determine, or at least help us explain yet understanding why people or group do something. And it can be expressed toward many ways, music, poems, political views, paint or even just a symbol. So, where is our identity know? As a scholar, as a college student, as a part of society, as a part of this nation, and as a part of international society?

never heard about Kalevala, but be a fans of Lord of the Rings
Even JRR Tolkien really-really admired Kalevala, because these heroic poem has became the fundamental aspect of Norway's Identity. Because of Kalevala, the Norway found their own integrity... I never imagined that culture also bringing such a great impact to a nation... so what are you waiting for to love culture???

**akhirnya setelah ngantri, bisa pinjem GIE...patungan sama puspita...karena dulu ndak mudheng, sekarang apa salahnya nonton lagiiii...
Nekad..mulai nonton jam setengah sepuluh...bnar2 tidur jam setengah tiga...dan besoknya kuliah jam set8...hasilnya, waktu pagi samasekali g ada yang masuk di kuping...takpapa-takpapa

Inilah hebatnya media film. Kita bisa tahu setting cerita sedemikian personal. Jakarta yang supersibuk dan "galak" seperti bayangan generasi-generasi kita, lebih terlihat "ramah", dengan rumah-rumah padat penduduk, toko-toko lama, pedagang kaki lima yang masih berbaju tradisional...semuanya bertujuan membantu kita menvisualisasikan bagaimana sih Jakarta pada mid 60's (?).

Dari luar Gie kecil (Jonathan Mulia) sama kok dengan anak-anak seusianya, sekolah jalan kaki, nongkrong di gardu jaga, punya hewan peliharaan, dsb...tapii, jika mau lebih teliti ada yang beda, dia suka baca
Menurut sumber-sumber yang bisa diakses di Internet maupun dari buku Catatan Seorang Demonstran (CSD) Gie memnag sudah mewarisi kegemaran menulis dari orangtuanya. Ayah Gie Soe Lie Piet (Salam sutrawan) adalah redaktur berbagai media cetak pada tahun 1940, buku-bukunya pun banyak.. Di film terlihat dia membaca banyak karya sastra dalam negeri maupun luar negeri sekaliber Toltstoy maupun MArx (maaf kalau salah eja)
Jadi mikir(??) Umur Segini sudah baca apa saja ya aku?? Bacaan yang mengembangkan pola pikir...Sudah agak telat si...tapi daripada TIDAK sama sekali...Semuanya kan pilihan...Dulu jika berhadapan dengan pertanyaan: bagaimanana menggolongkan mahasiswa, jika dikaitkan dengan partisipasi politik. JAwabanku cuma DUA : Mereka yang apatis serta mereka yang kritis dan termasuk golongan para aktivis yang berkecimpung langsung di dunia politik kampus. Tapi setelah menonton Gie, dan seperti juga yang telah kubaca di CSD ada satu golongan lain yang bebas

Dan sepertinya, unuk semntara iniuntuk saya, pilihan terakhir ini yang terasa paling baik. Golongan ini memang belum atau tidak terjun di politik langsung, tapi bukan berarti apatis...Karena, kita bisa bebas berfikir dan mengungkapkan apapun, murni unutk pembelajaran diri, atau memang sudah idealisme seseorang*.... :D

* tenaaang. saya belum sampai ke tahapan idealisme, karena saya masih dan akan masih terus belajarrr

hAri-hAri yAng "siBuk"

HHha...kalau hari-hari gini di UB pasti sibuk dengan ospek atau nama kerennya PKK Maba (Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus Mahasiswa Baru). Nha, di UB ini kan ada PKK Universitas, yang kepanitiaannya dikelola oleh EM. Cuma sehari siih...tapi whuuu masif banget pesertanya. gak tanggung-tanggung, total maba UB 2010 ini mencapai 10rb an lebih... termasuk yang mengikuti SAP (seleksi alih program). Nha, pHie ni mau bagi-bagi cerita dikit siih...dari sudut kecil PK2 MU....wleeeekkkk
Bagi aku yang seumur-umur g pernah ikud panitia yang handle banyak orang jadi bingung juga. seminar dulu yang cuma 100-an peserta aja GJ, lha ini malah ikut yang puluhan ribuan...kesan awal daftar: "NI BENERAN IKUD TAAAAA????" dan lebih anehnya lagi, entah mengapa q pilih pendamping...
